Good point. People assume because Buffett is buying that it must be safe. Well Buffett is getting terms that no one else can. He's not buying common stock either.

Correct on that. GE if negative on Cash Flow right now, that is an official statement. But I do have it on my daily watch list.

I have to wonder if there is anything more machiavellian written in to their agreement, such as Buffett being given first crack at assets at firesale prices in the event that certain triggering events occur.

Global reach, global sales, deep pockets, fair dividend; all businesses have cycles. Or, as a company, they're the best of the big. I went through the 70's in the midwest and it can get really bad - for a while.

but then again buffet does look for a large margin of safety and does want to be able to convert on his warrants
