Yesterday, Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) announced the release of its latest solution, Simtrol Visitor™ V1.0. This video visitation software application streamlines the scheduling process and provides the ability to monitor and record visitations. Visitor™ will be used primarily at correctional facilities to enhance the safety and cost-effectiveness of inmate visitations. Visitor™ joins Arraigner™ in the company’s telejustice suite of solutions for the government sector. Simtrol’s Curian Arraigner™ combines digital video with workflow and document management systems to avoid the logistical issues in transporting prisoners to and from the courthouse for arraignment. Both solutions utilize Simtrol’s Device Management Software (DMS) that monitors, controls, services, diagnoses, and schedules controllable devices. Bill Joyce, Simtrol’s Executive VP of Operations, stated, “Correctional facilities across the nation are overcrowded and are adding large numbers of controllable devices onto their IT networks to increase efficiencies and the level of public safety. This device proliferation has occurred not only in the government sector but in many other vertical markets as well. The inherent complexity associated with managing devices from multiple manufacturers – both existing and new – represents a significant market opportunity for Simtrol across numerous vertical markets.” The Simtrol OnGoer® system can be configured specifically for the healthcare and business sectors. For healthcare, OnGoer® can be applied to centrally control all operating room equipment. In the business sector, the system can be customized to manage videoconferencing, audio processors, plasma displays, projectors, video screens, speakers, microphones, and computers. Simtrol’s open-software approach offers clients the flexibility and scalability needed to manage equipment in expanding offices and businesses. Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) Provides Intelligent Meeting Environment System
Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) engages in the design and development of software that provides greater control, monitoring, and management of audio and video devices. The company’s solutions run on Windows-based PC’s or servers, and are designed to simplify the automation and integration of audiovisual and information technology (IT) equipment into an organization’s meeting and conferencing environment.
Simtrol created the Intelligent Meeting Environment (IME), which allows managers to distribute the right information to the right people at the right time. By leveraging the power and flexibility of the Windows operating system and an open hardware platform to deliver highly scaleable, feature-rich, and cost-effective solutions, Simtrol has created a system that allows managers to proactively plan and forecast how to maximize their meeting room assets.
Through Simtrol’s two primary solutions for device control and monitoring, the ONGOER and OnGuard, managers can now control virtually any device using a variety of interfaces (serial, IR, IP, contact closure, etc.). OnGuard is Simtrol’s server-based software solution that provides remote, proactive monitoring, management and diagnostic capabilities for all devices within the meeting room environment. OnGuard communicates in real-time via standard IP connections with all ONGOER-equipped meeting rooms to provide instant device and room status, control, alert notification and customizable reporting functions.
With Simtrol’s Intelligent Meeting Environment, the system itself informs the A/V staff when issues or complications arise. As a result, the majority of problems are discovered instantly and remedied without impacting the user community. Managers do not have to waste time on testing and resetting any functions, or make rooms unavailable due to the testing of user requirements.
Additionally, the self-monitoring approach means that daily or weekly system testing is no longer required, making the room more accessible to the end users and thereby increasing the return on investment for the meeting room space. Since testing is conducted remotely using the remote management tools, the need for onsite resources is substantially reduced, saving both cost and manpower.
There are three phases to setting up an Intelligent Meeting Environment. The first phase of an IME deployment involves the connection of the conference rooms and installed equipment to the corporate data network, as well as the deployment of a centralized management engine. After all equipment is secure and an established connection is in place, the conferencing management team will have remote diagnostic capabilities, remote device management capabilities, automated collection of usage data, and other benefits. The second phase involves the injection of meeting management capabilities into the conferencing environment. Once installed, the users will have ability to book multi-location video meetings through the scheduling system. The last phase is the leveraging of the management, monitoring, and scheduling systems integration to add automation and intelligence capabilities to the meeting environment.

Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) is Simplifying Court Proceedings with Technology
Simtrol is a software solutions company that focuses partly on assisting the criminal justice system with complicated court proceedings. With the company’s Arraigner™ platform, pre-trial procedure is made less time consuming and more cost effective. The software eliminates the sometimes risky need to transport prisoners and documents when it is not necessary.
Arraigner™ utilizes multi-point video conferencing technology to conduct “virtual” arraignments in real-time. The system also facilitates the seamless transfer of critical documents without the risk of loss, and records courtroom activity and data-flow.
Perhaps the best aspect of the Arraigner™ platform is its scalability. Simtrol conducts a needs analysis for interested county/state court systems, and gathers the information required to design the perfect solution to fit any situation. In fact, Arraigner™ saves courts so much time and money that - in the average county - it is an investment that will pay for itself in less than a year.
There seems to be quite a market for Simtrol’s product as well, as the majority of courthouses still utilize the same old primitive methods. According to J. Douglas Walker of the National Center for State Courts, “The latest advances in intelligent video surveillance, video streaming, and Web-based conferencing can help courts secure their facilities, increase operational efficiency, and improve the administration of justice.”

Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) Steadily Grows in Value
Slowly but surely over the past few months, Simtrol, Inc. shares have been increasing in value. Despite the occasional reversal in momentum, the general trend has been movement in an unmistakably upward direction. Since May of this year, when the stock hit its annual low of twenty-one cents, the price has increased by more than sixty percent and is now in the upper $0.50s.
Perhaps it is no coincidence that this gradual strengthening began in May, around the same time that Oliver Cooper took over as Simtrol’s president and CEO. At the time, Mr. Cooper vehemently expressed his intent to “take aggressive action to move Simtrol forward”, and it appears that he has done precisely that.
The company has announced several new developments since Mr. Cooper’s appointment, including partnerships with Toshiba Display Systems and Promethean, Inc. In July, Wesupply (an on-demand supply chain management company) named Mr. Cooper a non-executive member of its Board of Directors, due to his extensive experience and proven track record for establishing high rates of growth in software solutions companies.
Oliver Cooper is an executive known for producing favorable results, and he has done so with Simtrol, Inc. in an amazingly short time. It seems the sky is the limit for this company with such an effective leader calling the shots.

Simtrol Inc. (SMRL.OB) Brings Needed Assistance to the Healthcare Field
Finally, someone has provided healthcare solutions that will allow hospitals to perform more efficiently and provide relief to patients and peace of mind to families. That someone is a Georgia-based company, Simtrol.
Simtrol is an innovative provider of device control and monitoring software. The company’s premier product is the OnGoer. The OnGoer is a Windows-based product that enables users of devices to dramatically improve efficiencies and benefit from total cost of ownership. The OnGoer includes a device control engine that performs the “heavy lifting” of command/response processing and queuing. OnGoer contains an array of tools for remote diagnostics and monitoring, including proactive notification, remote control panels, reporting, and other asset management functions.
Simtrol’s OnGoer has the capability to revolutionize the way hospital operating rooms (ORs) work throughout the country. For example, consider a hospital with 50 high-tech ORs, each of which contains at least 10 hardware devices. These devices will vary from traditional medical equipment to image processors and LCD flat panel displays. With the OnGoer’s distinct capabilities, the control and management of all devices in the OR are centralized. Hospital personnel would be allowed to control all equipment in the OR suite from a central graphical user interface (GUI), that is configured, based on the room’s intended use to maximize efficiency.
The application of the OnGoer will change things for the better in the healthcare industry. With added efficiency, there will be more time allotted for research and the patients will feel more at ease. Simtrol is not only making things better today, but they are trailblazing the future of the healthcare industry with their innovative technology.

Simtrol Inc. (SMRL.OB) Enhances the Digital Age
Simtrol Inc. is making noise in the ever-changing world of technology by developing products that bring technologies together. Simtrol addresses connected devices on the “messy edge” of the network such as medical devices, interactive whiteboards, security cameras, digital signage and DVRs.
Based in Norcross, Georgia, the young company has already showcased three major products that may have a lasting effect on the world. Those products are: “Device Manager”, “Arraigner” and “Visitor”.
The Device Manager powers enterprise-wide solutions that manage non-traditional connected devices in markets such as Retail & Hospitality, Education and Healthcare. This product plays a major role in operating rooms across the country that utilize the device. With over $300 million being spent annually in the over 50,000 operating rooms in the United States, Device Manager helps reduce these costs and provides convenience to hospitals.
The Arraigner is a solution for court systems that reduces the complexity and risk associated with arraignments and other pre-trial proceedings. The Arraigner provides for a virtual courtroom that is cost-effective and productive.
The Visitor is a video visitation solution that enables correctional facilities to conduct inmate visitations with enhanced safety and cost-effectiveness. Both the Arraigner and the Visitor are Tele-justice-specific software that were built upon the Device Manager.
Simtrol is led Oliver M. Cooper III who serves as the company’s President and CEO. With a long and successful career in the industry, Cooper gained fame while working at Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH). While at Manhattan, Cooper was the company’s Chief Operating Officer and managed their successful initial public offering and sales growth from $14 million to $82 million, as well as leading a work force that jumped from 180 to 670 employees.
With Cooper leading the way and the products providing such strong efficiency, Simtrol looks like a force to be reckoned with.

Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) Lets Devices Talk to Each Other
Simtrol, Inc., (SMRL.OB), designs, develops, and markets Windows-based software solutions that help organizations integrate, monitor, and control audiovisual and other equipment used for the communication of internal information, networking otherwise incompatible devices.
Simtrol software products impact what is certainly one of the most important aspects of business and organizational operations - the internal communication of ideas and information. The communication of information is an organization’s lifeblood and nervous system.
At the heart of business communication is the company meeting, one of several areas of focus for Simtrol. According to the National Statistics Council, 37 percent of employee time is spent in meetings. It is estimated that the average business professional attends over 60 meetings each month. There’s little question that this represents a huge and largely untapped potential for operational improvement and cost savings, in addition to enhancing overall worker experience and satisfaction.
Simtrol allows organizations to integrate all of their meeting rooms and associated equipment, letting them manage these increasingly time- and cost-intensive assets in a professional way. Instead of leaving it to untrained individual presenters to struggle with scheduling and equipment issues, Simtrol systems provide for centralized monitoring and integration of all meeting assets, including ongoing equipment maintenance.
Potential problems with equipment are identified and addressed in advance, so that the universal problem of equipment failure during meetings is virtually eliminated. Equipment that would otherwise be incompatible is linked and centrally controlled, allowing better coordination of the presentation. The final result is an Intelligent Meeting Environment (IME) which can cover multiple meeting rooms, using technology to significantly reduce costs and improve effectiveness. Wainhouse Research points to Simtrol as a “good example of a distributed meeting room management solution.”
Simtrol, based in Georgia, also serves other markets, helping to capture and integrate devices on the “messy edge” of communications networks, including medical devices, interactive whiteboards, security cameras, digital displays, and DVRs. Simtrol’s flagship product, Device Manager™, powers enterprise-wide solutions that manage non-traditional connected devices in markets such as Retail & Hospitality, Education, and Healthcare. Device Manager enables IT organizations to remotely monitor, diagnose, service, and schedule these devices via a web interface and standard communication protocols. Simtrol products have even been used in correctional facilities to improve safety for inmate visitations, and in courts to reduce the complexity and risk associated with arraignments.

Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) Offers Novel Applications
Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) is an innovative provider of device control and monitoring software. The company develops scalable software solutions that give their users cost-effective management solutions for disparate devices utilized in complex environments, including boardrooms, courtrooms, and operating rooms. Unlike past device control and monitoring solutions, which were driven by proprietary closed-architecture hardware-based solutions, Simtrol offers an open software-based approach that incorporates standard interfaces. This means smoother, more timely integration and fewer software/hardware conflicts.
Digital signage is a powerful communications platform for efficiently delivering messages to large numbers of people via display devices such as plasma screens, LCD’s, and scrolling message boards. As technology improves and display prices continue to fall due to commoditization, digital signage solutions are becoming more popular and are being implemented by more businesses in more industries.
By using software applications that enable efficient creation, distribution, and scheduling of content, digital signage is one of the most effective ways to deliver enhanced content to a specifically targeted audience, which in turn results in tremendous value to customers. To insure that the delivery application used to display messages is on and properly functioning, Simtrol created robust device control software that provides an additional layer of functionality and guarantees displays and other devices are operating when they are intended to do so. By proactively controlling, monitoring, and scheduling devices, advanced device control software maximizes the provider’s ability to reach the intended audience and increases the customer’s return on investment in digital signage.
Simtrol’s device control and monitoring solution, called OnGoer, is a Windows-based product that includes a device control engine that performs the “heavy lifting” of command/response processing and queuing. OnGoer also contains an array of tools for remote diagnostics and monitoring, including proactive notification, remote control panels, reporting, and other asset management functions.
OnGoer’s open architecture makes it an ideal solution to be bundled into digital signage applications. By exposing web services through a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), OnGoer can be easily integrated into any digital signage application to provide superior functionality and flexibility. By employing Simtrol’s open and structured approach to device control, devices may be upgraded or otherwise swapped out seamlessly without the time and expense associated with proprietary solutions. If a customer wants to install a new make or model of display, no time or effort is wasted supporting this activity.
